Anthem Injury Lawyers, a Las Vegas personal injury firm co-founded by Managing Partners Anthony Golden and Puneet Garg in 2015, is dedicated to delivering personal attention and positive outcomes to each of its clients. Anthony and Puneet are deeply passionate about their work and both draw from personal experiences with car accidents, fueling their dedication to personal injury law and fostering a deep sense of compassion for every client they represent.
Crafting comprehensive demands, inclusive of medical records and persuasive arguments, was time-consuming for Anthem Injury Lawyers. Despite various attempts to streamline operations internally, demand drafting remained a significant bottleneck.
When asked about the demand process, Anthony Golden had this to say, “We’ve tried a few permutations of writing demand letters in the firm. We’ve broken things up where different phases of the case are handled by different people. We've done it where one person handles everything from beginning to end. But what we found is that no matter how we did it, demand drafting was always a bit of a bottleneck, and it’s time-consuming.”
For Anthony and his team, assembling all the medical records and bills was time-consuming enough, let alone drafting a quality, detailed demand that includes all the information needed to send to an insurance company while being persuasive—all the things that are critical to a good demand. “The choice was to either hire people who would focus only on demand drafting, or find a third party that could do it just as well, if not better, than we could do in-house,” Anthony explained.
After learning about EvenUp’s technology and meeting some of the team at various industry conferences, Anthony and Puneet began to see how using EvenUp at their firm could drive efficiency for their team and their clients.
“I’m very technology-oriented and always looking for ways to save time and money, and make things more efficient,” said Anthony. “The main thing that caught my eye initially, was EvenUp’s use of AI technology before the popularity and explosion of AI due to OpenAI and ChatGPT. That excited me, and I saw the potential in using it at our firm.”
Anthem Injury Lawyers was drawn to the fact that every single demand produced by EvenUp’s platform is reviewed by a team of experts—including former defense counsel, adjusters, and case managers—to ensure the highest quality demands before delivering them to the firm.
“Knowing that it's being reviewed not just by a person, but by someone who might be a former lawyer or a former adjuster gives us that satisfaction that quality people are reviewing this and making sure that the draft we get back is pretty much ready to go,” added Anthony.
Another feature of EvenUp’s demands that has been especially helpful for Anthony and his team is the inclusion of a medical chronology. “The fact that EvenUp puts a medical chronology into every demand is super useful to the team, even outside of the demand itself,” said Anthony. “That's something that, when we get that back, our team can use internally, outside of just submitting the demand.”
Anthony also saw value in the way EvenUp calculates certain figures, such as pain and suffering.
When it came to onboarding the team to EvenUp, Anthem Injury Lawyers found the platform to be intuitive and user-friendly. “The input I received from our team was that it worked very well, and there weren't a lot of sticking points when it came to onboarding and learning the technology,” said Anthony. “Everything was very user-friendly and self-explanatory.”
With EvenUp streamlining demand drafting, Anthem Injury Lawyers is able to redirect their focus to spending time with their clients, ensuring they’re getting quality medical treatments and are able to deal with their injuries.
“EvenUp has taken a lot off of our case manager's plates and has allowed them to focus more on medical, which is really where we want most of their time to be spent,” said Anthony. “That’s what helps our clients the most. If we’re not making sure our clients are able to get quality medical treatments and deal with their injuries then why are we even doing this?”
Another benefit Anthem Injury Lawyers have seen since implementing EvenUp is less pushback from adjusters and the ability to settle cases faster.
Anthem Injury Lawyers has also been able to identify cases that aren't going to get resolved expeditiously and can decide what to do with them sooner, which has been very valuable for the firm and their clients.
“One of the features I really like about EvenUp is the verdict information that supports the damages calculations, and gives us an idea of potential case value,” added Anthony. “That helps us make decisions on what to do with the case next, so we can bring the client in to talk to me, to talk to my partner, or any of the other attorneys in the firm to discuss various options.”
Looking ahead, Anthem Injury Lawyers is scaling up and continuing to increase the volume of cases and the amount of clients they can serve. “EvenUp is an incredibly good partner. We can spend our time talking to our clients directly and not working on these other things that EvenUp is able to take off our plates,” said Anthony.
